What is Business?
The goal of a business is solely to make profit. Therefore, without profit a business is inexistent. The ultimate goal of a business is success by ensuring profitability which depends upon some basic foundations such as loyalty, fairness, and sensitivity to the right of others as well as yourself. A company (business) may lose profit and without profit a business can’t survive. The loss of profit can be attributed mainly by some unethical behaviours such as: • Product safety • Anti-competitiveness • Pollution • Racial discrimination • Health concerns A company’s vitality is dependent upon the satisfaction and positive perception of its: 1) Customers 2) Investors 3) Suppliers 4) Employees 5) Community. This, in return, secures good investment to the company, ensuring profitability and eventually leading to its success.
